Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents
- Ability to design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing educational atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students as stipulated in their IEPs
- Develop and implement targeted therapy interventions to address motor skills, mobility, and physical function
- Monitor progress, adjust goals, and document outcomes aligned with student needs
- Provide training and resources to teaching staff and caregivers to support carryover of therapy goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student support
