Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents
  • Ability to design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing educational atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students as stipulated in their IEPs
  • Develop and implement targeted therapy interventions to address motor skills, mobility, and physical function
  • Monitor progress, adjust goals, and document outcomes aligned with student needs
  • Provide training and resources to teaching staff and caregivers to support carryover of therapy goals
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student support
