Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Work with students near Vallejo, CA, supporting their growth, mobility, and participation in school activities across 3-4 days per week. This position offers a competitive hourly rate in the range of $55 to $70.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Physical Therapy license for California
- Previous experience providing PT services in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students referred for PT services
- Develop individualized goals and interventions tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate PT strategies into the educational environment
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Support students in improving physical function and independence within the school setting
