Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
  • Previous experience working with children or within a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Comfortable adapting to various environments and student needs
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ physical therapy needs
  • Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions supporting students’ educational access and participation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and IEP teams to develop and track student goals
  • Document services and student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ mobility and motor development both in school and at home
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
