Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Previous experience working with children or within a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Comfortable adapting to various environments and student needs
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ physical therapy needs
- Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions supporting students’ educational access and participation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and IEP teams to develop and track student goals
- Document services and student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ mobility and motor development both in school and at home
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
