Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license, with all necessary state credentials to practice in California
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encourage student growth
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and accessible learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions within the school setting
- Develop and update individualized education program (IEP) goals, progress reports, and documentation in accordance with school district guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families, to support student access to curriculum and school activities
- Provide training and guidance to staff on mobility, positioning, and adaptive equipment as needed
- Participate in meetings, consultations, and parent conferences to communicate student progress and advocate for resources
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services
