Certified Middle School School-Based Physical Therapist - Van Nuys, CA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Physical Therapy license for the state of California
• PT certification required
• Previous experience working in school environments (elementary, middle, or high school)
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for children and adolescents

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individualized and group physical therapy services to students, following IEP requirements
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student progress
• Assess, plan, and implement creative therapy interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Monitor and report on student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with school and state standards
• Educate staff and families on mobility, equipment, and classroom modifications to enhance student participation
