Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
- Prior experience working in schools and understanding of PT’s role in an educational context
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and documentation
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to tailor services accordingly
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized physical therapy sessions with a designated student twice each month, 30 minutes per session
- Evaluate the student’s physical needs related to educational outcomes and develop appropriate goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support the student’s participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in relevant meetings and communicate progress or needs to the educational team as needed
