Physical Therapist - School Setting in Visalia, CA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric physical therapy
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including special education and classroom staff
• Strong assessment, documentation, and intervention planning abilities
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable
• Background clearance and compliance with school health/safety protocols

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ physical needs to create individualized therapy plans
• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services as part of the IEP/504 process
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to enable student access to the educational environment
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school policies and regulations
• Educate staff and caregivers in strategies and equipment use to support student progress
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development as required
• Travel between school sites in the district (as needed)
