Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric physical therapy
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including special education and classroom staff
- Strong assessment, documentation, and intervention planning abilities
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable
- Background clearance and compliance with school health/safety protocols
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ physical needs to create individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services as part of the IEP/504 process
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to enable student access to the educational environment
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school policies and regulations
- Educate staff and caregivers in strategies and equipment use to support student progress
- Participate in meetings, training, and professional development as required
- Travel between school sites in the district (as needed)
