As a key provider in the educational team, you will work directly with a diverse caseload of K-12 students, helping them achieve their fullest potential.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) for the state
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to provide therapy services in-person to meet school standards and compliance
- Commitment to supporting students with a range of disabilities or physical needs
- Reliable, organized, and flexible mindset for adapting to evolving student requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy to a caseload of 7 students (details shared in interview)
- Contribute to student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), set measurable therapy goals, and monitor progress
- Communicate regularly with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure seamless coordination of student care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school policies
- Educate staff and caregivers about mobility, access, and adaptive techniques when needed
- Participate in relevant school meetings and professional development activities
