Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license
  • Prior experience working with pediatric populations; experience within schools preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize effectively in a school setting
  • Commitment to ethical, student-centered practice

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Delivering direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborating with teachers, occupational therapists, and other school personnel to promote accessibility and participation in classroom activities
  • Providing training and resources for staff and caregivers to enhance student mobility and physical functioning
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and report writing
  • Supporting students in developing skills necessary for school participation and success
