Serve K-8th grade students during both summer school and the upcoming academic year, providing expert physical therapy services that help ensure every child can thrive and succeed alongside their peers.
This position requires 4 hours of commitment per week, making it ideal for therapists seeking flexibility and balance. Services will be provided during the summer term, July 7, 2026, through July 30, 2026, and extend into the 2026-2027 school year, from August 24, 2026, to June 11, 2027. Compensation for this role ranges from $60 to $65 per hour, reflecting your valuable expertise and dedication.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Maine, with credentials up to date
- Experience supporting school-aged children, K-8th grade, in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students reach their full potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services for students according to IEP goals
- Complete evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse group of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure the best outcomes
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of sessions, progress, and communications
- Offer expert recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications as needed
