Bring your skills and passion to a school setting, working closely with educators and families to develop and implement effective therapy plans. You’ll be instrumental in helping a student achieve their mobility and functional goals through brief, impactful therapy sessions each month.
Your Qualifications:
- Current, active Physical Therapist license
- Previous school-based or pediatric therapy experience preferred
- Strong understanding of educational settings and IEP processes
- Skilled in adapting therapy approaches to individual student needs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services for one student, totaling 45 minutes per month
- Conduct three 15-minute, individualized sessions each month
- Assess, plan, and deliver therapy according to the student’s IEP, addressing mobility and functional challenges
- Work collaboratively with school staff and families for seamless integration into the educational routine
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all school and state guidelines
- Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment or modifications as needed
