Physical Therapist - School Setting in Wappingers Falls, NY

This contract position is based near Wappingers Falls, NY, supporting students at the Myers Corners Education Center. With a flexible two-day-a-week schedule, you’ll be a key partner in empowering students to reach their fullest potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active New York State license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP-driven services and documentation
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and abilities
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, student-centered physical therapy according to IEP goals
• Perform thorough assessment and develop individualized therapy plans
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, outcomes, and communications
• Educate teachers and caregivers on strategies that enhance student participation
• Contribute to IEP meetings and provide updates on student achievements
