Physical Therapist - School Setting in Wappingers Falls, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Valid PT or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) certification
• Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, students, and families
• Ability to organize schedules and manage a caseload independently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to students who have mandated Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Complete comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for both elementary and middle school students
• Attend Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute insightful expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and required documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student mobility, participation, and access within the educational setting
