Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in RI and compliance with state regulations
  • Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Confidence managing a severe caseload and adapting therapeutic interventions accordingly
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Willingness to participate in safety care training (provided by the school)
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to fostering student progress

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ mobility, functional skills, and physical needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to support IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to ensure continuity and consistency of care
  • Document and report progress, maintaining compliance with school and district standards
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy
