School-Based Physical Therapist - Waterbury, Connecticut

As a Physical Therapist in this school-based role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support students’ mobility, functional skills, and access to learning environments. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to navigate between campuses or schools within the district as needed
• Quick adaptability to jump in mid-year and hit the ground running

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students across the district in accordance with their IEPs
• Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations, goal development, and documentation requirements
• Work proactively with teachers, staff, and families to implement interventions, modifications, and supports
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely records such as session notes and progress reports
• Advocate for student access and participation across all educational settings
