As part of a strong, behavioral-based program grounded in ABA principles, you will collaborate with dedicated professionals to empower students with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses—including autism spectrum disorders, seizure disorders, genetic and metabolic conditions, and dual diagnoses—helping them gain independence and prepare for life beyond graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough assessments and design individualized physical therapy plans aligned with each student's needs and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services across a diverse school environment
- Partner closely with teachers, occupational and speech therapists, and vocational staff to promote holistic student progress
- Assist students to enhance functional mobility, safety, and participation in both academic and vocational activities
- Accurately document all services provided and track student outcomes in accordance with school and state requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Current or eligible Connecticut Physical Therapy license
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric therapeutic settings is highly valued
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organization skills
