School-Based Physical Therapist - Waterbury, Connecticut

Take the next step in your career supporting students aged 6 to 21 across two active school sites, where your expertise as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant can make a lasting difference. As part of a strong, behavioral-based program grounded in ABA principles, you will collaborate with dedicated professionals to empower students with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses—including autism spectrum disorders, seizure disorders, genetic and metabolic conditions, and dual diagnoses—helping them gain independence and prepare for life beyond graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete thorough assessments and design individualized physical therapy plans aligned with each student's needs and IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy and consultative services across a diverse school environment
• Partner closely with teachers, occupational and speech therapists, and vocational staff to promote holistic student progress
• Assist students to enhance functional mobility, safety, and participation in both academic and vocational activities
• Accurately document all services provided and track student outcomes in accordance with school and state requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Current or eligible Connecticut Physical Therapy license
• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric therapeutic settings is highly valued
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organization skills
