Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential physical therapy services to elementary students this spring. This position runs from late April through the end of June and offers a fulfilling way to make a direct impact as a long-term substitute at two welcoming sites. You’ll work three days each week, primarily supporting K-5 students and collaborating with a dedicated school team to help young learners achieve their mobility and developmental milestones.

Preferred candidates bring experience or enthusiasm for working in a school-based setting and are eager to support children’s growth in a collaborative, child-focused environment. Flexibility and adaptability will be key as you travel between two nearby locations, delivering top-notch care and creative interventions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), ideally in a school or pediatric setting
  • Understanding of school-based therapy practices and IEP documentation
  • Comfort working with children in grades K-5
  • Ability to organize a caseload across multiple sites
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Current licensure as a PTA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy support services to students under the supervision of a PT
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for diverse childhood needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, PTs, and other school staff to support each child’s success
  • Document session notes and progress according to school and legal standards
  • Travel between two sites on assigned days
