Make an immediate impact by supporting a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student needing Physical Therapy services in a deeply meaningful, long-term contract role. Located just west of Philadelphia, this unique opportunity promises a consistent and rewarding caseload, offering continuity of care and the chance to build a strong therapeutic relationship with both the student and family.
We are seeking a caring and committed Physical Therapist, ideally bilingual in Spanish and English, to provide direct, in-person therapy. If you’re not bilingual but otherwise a great fit, your expertise is still welcome—an interpreter may be available to ensure seamless communication with the student’s family. This part-time position begins as soon as possible or in the next school year and extends indefinitely, giving you an opportunity to grow with the student and adapt to evolving needs.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare PT settings
- Comfortable providing care to students with complex medical needs (bed-bound)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred; non-bilingual candidates will also be considered
- Reliable, compassionate, and skilled at developing individualized plans
- Ability to create a nurturing environment and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, personalized physical therapy during weekly 2.5-hour in-person sessions
- Develop and implement therapy goals tailored to the student’s needs
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with the educational team and family
- Foster trust and engagement with a non-English-speaking family, ensuring they’re fully informed and involved
This is a rare chance to positively influence a student’s well-being over multiple years in a supportive school environment. Shape a lasting connection and see the direct results of your work.
