Qualifications and Experience:

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to assess and design individualized physical therapy interventions for students with varying needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of current best practices in school-based physical therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in a school program, focusing on functional movement, mobility, and participation in educational activities
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other therapists to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
• Adapt and modify treatment plans to address students’ unique needs and support their educational goals
• Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding strategies to promote student independence and safety within the school environment
