Make a meaningful difference for students with a wide range of needs by providing physical therapy services across two school sites, serving individuals ages 6 to 21. This contract opportunity spans the academic year, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 12, 2026, with both full-time (up to 40 hours per week) and part-time options available. The work environment is rooted in evidence-based practices with a strong emphasis on ABA principles, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, seizure disorders, genetic conditions, metabolic disorders, dual diagnoses, and those preparing for vocational transitions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Connecticut Physical Therapy license, or eligibility to obtain before starting
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
  • Dedication to inclusive, student-centered approaches

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive assessments and craft individualized physical therapy plans tailored to IEP objectives
  • Provide both direct therapy and consultative services in classroom, therapy, and vocational settings
  • Partner closely with teachers, occupational and speech therapists, and vocational staff to ensure holistic student support
  • Promote students’ functional mobility, safety, and independence throughout school activities and vocational experiences
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation of services and student progress as required
