Support students’ progress and success as a contract Physical Therapist in a vibrant school-based setting near West Valley City, UT. Work alongside educators and families to promote students’ physical development, mobility, and independence throughout the academic calendar.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license (or eligibility) in Utah
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of IEP process and ability to write and implement appropriate therapy goals
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within students’ daily routines
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and access to curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for student needs
