This full-time position begins August 19, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, providing a unique chance to collaborate with students from elementary, intermediate (grades 5 and 6), and high school settings, as well as those receiving home instruction.
In this dynamic role, you'll serve a caseload spanning up to 9 schools, using your expertise in school-based physical therapy to support diverse learners, promote functional independence, and help every child reach their fullest potential. You'll engage with multidisciplinary teams and families in a flexible, engaging educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adjust interventions to meet individual student needs
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals related to physical therapy
- Motivated and adaptable approach to working in multiple school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students across elementary, intermediate, and high school levels, including home instruction as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for students’ physical therapy goals and progress
- Assess and evaluate students’ motor skills, developing targeted intervention plans
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Consult with educators and families to support students’ access to their learning environment
- Travel between schools as required (reasonable within caseload expectation)
