Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid Physical Therapy licensure for school-based practice
- Experience providing PT services within educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic interventions appropriate for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Commitment to adapting interventions to uphold IEP goals and support student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in line with their individualized education plans
- Perform screenings and assessments to determine students’ therapy requirements
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with all regulatory standards
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Support accessibility and inclusion for students with physical challenges
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as necessary, and provide regular updates to the team
This full-time contract role offers the stability of consistent hours—35 per week—plus the experience of making a sustained, positive impact during two maternity leave coverages across the fall and winter terms.
