Physical Therapist - School Setting in Westerville, OH

Step into a rewarding contract position serving elementary-aged students as a Physical Therapist providing maternity leave coverage from mid-December through mid-March (exact dates to be determined). This assignment offers the chance to engage with students across five elementary schools, ensuring consistency and support for their therapeutic needs.

The weekly schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You’ll play an essential role in delivering physical therapy services, supporting students’ development and fulfilling the goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the current PT for approximately one week both at the start and end of the coverage, allowing for a seamless transition and collaborative care.

Desired Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Ohio
• Experience providing PT services in a school-based or pediatric setting
• Familiarity with IDEA, IEPs, and delivering therapy in accordance with educational goals
• Comfortable traveling between multiple elementary buildings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and school staff
• Ability to adapt, organize, and manage a dynamic caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized physical therapy services in small groups or one-on-one settings
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to integrate PT goals into daily activities
• Document progress and maintain compliance with IEPs and school requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and consult with the educational team as needed
• Ensure professional communication throughout the assignment
