Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Understanding of IEP development and the special education process
  • Adaptability to meet diverse needs of students across grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students, supporting their educational goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and record progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement therapy into the school day
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
  • Educate staff and families on techniques and tools to enhance student mobility and participation
