Step into a dynamic contract opportunity this summer working as a Physical Therapist for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. With a focused summer commitment and a set schedule of Tuesday through Thursday mornings, this role offers both professional fulfillment and flexibility.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Pennsylvania
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Ability to tailor interventions to elementary and secondary student needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Evaluate and document students’ progress, participating in ESY team meetings as needed
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and adaptive strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to support students’ physical development and access to their learning environment
  • Educate and consult with families regarding therapy goals, techniques, and at-home supports

Role Details:

  • ESY duration: June 29th - August 6th
  • Orientation is scheduled for Monday, June 29th
  • Program hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:45am to 12:15pm daily
