The assignment runs from July 6, 2026, to August 6, 2026, starting with a thorough orientation and set-up day on July 6. The position is scheduled for Tuesdays through Thursdays, with varied staff hours based on specific school locations. In-person participation is essential, as you’ll be an integral presence within the academic environment, helping students achieve their functional and educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license required
- Prior experience within a school-based or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Competency in assessments, IEP development, and documentation within educational frameworks
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and organized to manage caseloads across both middle and high school populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based PT services for students as designated in their IEPs
- Perform evaluations and re-evaluations to monitor student progress
- Provide therapy interventions, modify treatment plans, and address students’ physical needs in the school context
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute insights to IEP meetings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate student participation in school activities
