Physical Therapist - School Setting in Wilmington, DE

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Hold a valid Physical Therapist license (or eligibility) in the state
• Previous pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic school settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services for students with diverse physical needs
• Document evaluations, progress reports, and maintain compliance with school and legal requirements
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student access and participation in educational activities
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations for service delivery
• Support inclusive environments by delivering therapy in both individual and group settings within the school
• Assist with student transitions, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment as required
