Step into an impactful position supporting students as a Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, in-person opportunity runs from ASAP through June 2027 and provides the chance to work across a dynamic K-12 caseload. You’ll collaborate with a committed staff and contribute to positive outcomes for students of all ages.
As the sole district-wide physical therapist, you’ll deliver essential services to children with varying needs, making a direct difference in their educational access and physical development.
Your background:
- Valid PT licensure for Connecticut (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based experience highly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a K-12 caseload
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and teamwork-focused mindset
- Comfortable providing therapy onsite; remote work is not available
What you'll do:
- Assess students and develop individualized physical therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Document progress and maintain detailed service records
- Attend meetings related to student services and IEPs
- Educate staff on strategies to support students’ physical needs in the classroom
