An exciting contract opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to work in a vibrant public school setting near Winston-Salem, NC. This on-site role focuses on providing essential services at the primary level, supporting young students as they develop key motor skills and achieve their educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current North Carolina Physical Therapy License
- Degree required: Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Previous experience working in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred
- Only candidates able to provide fully on-site services will be considered
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities for close collaboration with educators, families, and other related service providers
Schedule & Caseload:
- Academic year engagement: August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027
- Part-time schedule: Three hours per week
- Focused caseload: Serving PreK through 2nd-grade students (approximately three students)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy in accordance with students' IEP goals
- Complete student assessments and contribute to the development of individualized interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to ensure comprehensive student support
- Accurately document interventions, track student progress, and maintain compliance records in ECATS and Infinite Campus
- Adjust interventions based on student response, ensuring optimal access and participation for every learner
- Serve as a resource and advocate for physical access, mobility, and inclusion within the school setting
