Physical Therapist - School Setting in Woodbridge, VA

Make a difference in the lives of students ages 12-21 by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a rewarding school-based setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a focused caseload of 8 students, each of whom is owed compensatory services—all within a flexible, part-time monthly schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized physical therapy sessions designed to help students achieve mobility, motor control, and functional independence in the school environment.
• Collaborate with educators and related service providers to integrate PT goals into students’ educational plans.
• Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and document progress for each student on the caseload.
• Communicate regularly with school staff and families to support continuity of care and maximize student outcomes.
• Manage compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based physical therapy services.

What We’re Looking For:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state.
• Experience with school-aged populations, preferably working with ages 12-21.
• Strong organizational skills to manage compensatory time and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs and fostering student growth.

This role is based out of a supportive educational environment for 16 hours per month, allowing you to deliver impactful therapy while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. The start date is as soon as possible, with the contract end date pending according to student needs.
