School-Based Physical Therapist - Woodbridge, Virginia

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain) in the state of Virginia
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers
• Flexibility, adaptability, and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of best practices and legal requirements for school-based therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of student IEPs
• Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor therapy outcomes
• Educate school staff and families on techniques and supports for optimal student participation
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment
