Exciting opportunity awaits physical therapists who enjoy making a meaningful difference in school settings! A contract position is available starting September 8, 2026, through December 18, 2026, based in the vibrant Salem area and providing full-time support (37.5 hours/week) for a K-12 student population. This role is exclusively onsite and will involve itinerant coverage across multiple school sites in the region. The ideal candidate will be covering a maternity leave, supporting a diverse caseload of students, and collaborating with educators and families to promote student mobility and active participation in school life.
What you’ll need:
- Valid Physical Therapist license/certification for the state of Oregon, active and in good standing
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based PT (K-12) is highly preferred
- Strong ability to adapt across multiple school locations, working in an itinerant capacity
- Dedication to supporting students with a range of physical needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with staff, students, and families
- Not open to remote or virtual-only service; must be able to provide in-person therapy at school sites
- Availability for the specified contract period, and flexibility for travel between local campuses

Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess student needs, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, families, and other therapists
