This position offers an opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide essential school-based services in Wyoming, MI. This is a contract role supporting four high schools across multiple districts, serving a caseload of 44 students. The assignment runs immediately through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct school-based physical therapy evaluations in accordance with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver direct therapeutic services, as well as consultative and monitoring support tailored to each student's needs.
- Supervise and direct the work of the Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school or healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to perform school-based evaluations and deliver therapy per IEP guidelines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel and families.
- Ability to manage caseloads and supervise therapy assistants.
