Physical Therapist Assistant in Anoka, MN

Key Qualifications:

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings
• Strong understanding of school-based therapy services, including IEP participation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability and a student-focused approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist with development and execution of activities tailored to students’ gross motor goals
• Monitor and document student progress within the school’s documentation systems
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other related services providers to support student inclusion and participation
• Support family engagement and home carryover activities
• Assist in providing education to staff regarding safe practices, mobility, and support strategies
