Physical Therapist Assistant in Delaware, OH

Step into an impactful assignment supporting elementary-aged students as a Physical Therapist Assistant! This contract opportunity is based near Delaware, OH, and will cover a maternity leave from mid-December through mid-March (with some flexibility on start and end dates). Collaborate directly with a virtual PT to provide essential services across five elementary schools, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive experience for every student.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current or eligible state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Experience in school-based physical therapy environments
• Knowledge of pediatric therapy practices, especially for elementary-aged children
• Strong collaboration skills, comfortable working with virtual mentorship/support
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and environments across multiple buildings
• Excellent communication with educators, families, and therapy staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group PT services to students, following IEP-guided goals
• Partner with a remote Physical Therapist for ongoing direction and support
• Travel between five elementary buildings as scheduled during the school day
• Document session progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to student reports
• Participate in team meetings as needed, both virtually and in person
• Conduct a brief onboarding week with the existing PT before and after the maternity leave for smooth transition
