Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Illinois.
  • Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
  • Familiarity with IEP goals, documentation, and therapy in educational settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Ability to adapt and provide compassionate care in a variety of school environments.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions as prescribed by the supervising physical therapist.
  • Support implementation of individualized plans to promote mobility and functional performance in school activities.
  • Document student progress, update records, and participate in team meetings regarding student development.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to generalize therapy strategies within the classroom.
  • Educate students and staff regarding movement, positioning, and adaptive equipment use.
