Physical Therapist Assistant - Elkin, NC

Desired Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina PTA license, in good standing
• Experience or strong interest in providing PTA services within schools
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, other therapists, and families
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Adaptable approach, comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by supervising PTs for students in accordance with IEP goals
• Conduct therapy sessions individually and in small groups within school environments
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate observations to the educational team
• Assist with adaptive equipment and modifications to support student access and participation in school activities
• Participate in team meetings, contributing insights to multidisciplinary discussions
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that motivates students to reach their potential
