Physical Therapist Assistant - Evanston, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist Assistant supporting young students in a school-based setting near the Evanston, IL area. This part-time role starts ASAP and runs through June 2027, making it ideal for professionals seeking long-term impact with a flexible schedule. You’ll provide compassionate care and essential therapies to a caseload of PreK–3rd grade students, collaborating with fellow educators and therapy staff.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Write and maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
• Work hands-on with PreK–3rd grade students to help them meet developmental and mobility milestones
• Adapt activities to each child’s unique needs, supporting their goals within the school environment
• Engage in effective communication with parents, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
• Contribute to IEP meetings and help craft supportive interventions tailored to individual students

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school
• Active Illinois state PTA license
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Solid organizational skills, patience, and a collaborative mindset
