Physical Therapist Assistant in Evanston, IL

Essential Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy
• Valid Illinois PTA licensure
• Prior experience supporting physical therapy in a school-based environment is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
• Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to enhancing student independence and participation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver goal-oriented physical therapy interventions to PreK-3rd grade students, both individually and in groups
• Implement and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with supervising physical therapists and educational staff
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide input during IEP meetings
• Engage with teachers and caregivers to promote generalization of skills and support a positive learning environment
