Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist or Assistant
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist (or Assistant), preferably within a school environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for supporting students with diverse physical needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students based on IEP goals and individual needs
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district and legal standards
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to ensure comprehensive student support
- Deliver training and consultative support for school staff in regards to physical access and mobility within the school environment
