Qualifications:

  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist or Assistant
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist (or Assistant), preferably within a school environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse physical needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students based on IEP goals and individual needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to each student
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to maximize student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district and legal standards
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Deliver training and consultative support for school staff in regards to physical access and mobility within the school environment
