Key Qualifications:

• Active licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico
• Prior experience in a school environment strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of physical therapy techniques appropriate for children and adolescents
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Organized, adaptable, and reliable team player
• Experience documenting therapy goals, interventions, and progress

Role Responsibilities:

• Support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering direct and consultative services to students with diverse needs
• Work closely with educators to implement IEP/PT plans and integrate therapy into the classroom
• Document treatment sessions, maintain accurate records, and report on student progress
• Assist in the evaluation of student performance and gather data to inform intervention strategies
• Encourage student participation and independence through targeted exercises and activities
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote continuity of care and achievement of therapy goals
