What We’re Looking For:
- A valid state license or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Prior experience working in a school, pediatric, or educational environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to follow individualized treatment plans as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability in a school setting
- Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy interventions to students in accordance with IEP goals under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Assist with evaluations and data collection to monitor student progress
- Document sessions accurately and maintain compliant records in line with school and district policies
- Cooperate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support student inclusion and safety
- Instruct teachers and caregivers on exercises and adaptive strategies that promote student independence
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insight for student care plans
