Qualifications & Experience:
- Current license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles and interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability for a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy programs for students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Support students in achieving their physical therapy goals by providing direct treatment and interventions in line with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide input for team meetings
- Educate staff and families about strategies to support students’ physical development within the educational framework
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student independence and confidence
