Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Millers Creek, North Carolina

Qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in North Carolina (NC PTA License)
• Prior experience working with school-age children, preferably in educational or pediatric settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to individual student needs and school goals
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics in educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support students’ mobility, access, and participation in school activities
• Collaborate with school staff and families to assess student progress and help develop individualized treatment plans
• Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and updates for student records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for student care
• Provide guidance and education to school staff on strategies to support student physical development within the classroom environment
