Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Certification to practice in an educational or pediatric setting
- Experience supporting students at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and other therapists
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- A passion for empowering young learners and adapting interventions as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized therapy interventions for students in accordance with IEPs and under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective programming and carryover of therapy recommendations in academic environments
- Assist in evaluating student progress and documenting outcomes in compliance with regulatory and district guidelines
- Contribute to IEP meetings and related planning sessions as needed
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment that encourages student growth and participation
- Adhere to established safety and confidentiality standards at all times
