Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active PTA licensure in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Previous experience working with pediatric populations is preferred
• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Ability to adapt therapy interventions to classroom and school-based settings
• Collaborative approach with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist students with mobility, motor skills, and self-care activities as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and goals
• Document therapy sessions, observations, and student outcomes according to school and legal requirements
• Provide input to enhance classroom accessibility and inclusivity
• Offer support and guidance to school staff and families to help integrate therapy recommendations into daily routines
• Contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture with empathy and enthusiasm
