Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within educational settings
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to various learning and developmental needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in providing comprehensive therapy services to students with physical challenges
  • Collaborate with school staff to deliver therapy that supports educational goals outlined in student IEPs
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Engage students in activities designed to maximize mobility, coordination, and independence in the classroom environment
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to student evaluations and progress reports
