Key Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina PTA license required
- Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support students’ mobility and physical development
- Passion for helping children achieve their highest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct PTA services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist with assessments and the development of treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities designed to meet each student's unique needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and provide regular updates to educational teams and families
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to support students’ success in the classroom setting
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student needs and progress
