What You'll Need:

  • Valid licensure and credentials as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within a school setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individualized treatment plans orchestrated by supervising Physical Therapists
  • Help implement therapies aimed at improving student mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence in the school environment
  • Track and document student progress, adapting activities as needed
  • Collaborate actively with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to integrate therapy into each student’s daily experience
  • Provide education and resources to staff and families regarding physical development and motor skills
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and a safe, inclusive therapeutic space across the district
