Qualifications & Experience:
- Current PTA licensure and certification required
- Experience working with children or adolescents in school settings preferred
- Adaptability to support a diverse student population, including those with varying physical, developmental, and behavioral needs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, students, and families
- Ability to implement treatment plans and document progress
- Familiarity with elementary, middle, and high school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapy sessions according to individualized education plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Assist students in developing and improving mobility, strength, balance, and coordination
- Work closely with school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities
- Monitor student progress and make appropriate adjustments in collaboration with supervising therapists
- Support in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and records
- Foster an encouraging, inclusive learning atmosphere
